Avaaz.org is a community of nearly 3,6 million global citizens, including 25,000 in Denmark, who take action on the major issues facing the world today. Our aim is to ensure that the views and values of the world’s people - and not just political elites and unaccountable corporations - shape global decisions. Avaaz.org members are taking action for a more just and peaceful world and a vision of globalization with a human face. Avaaz means "voice" in many languages.
Although Avaaz.org is a multi-issue organisation, it has worked tirelessly on climate change since its inception two years ago. Avaaz.org is advocating for a strong and fair deal at COP15.

hi Linda, thanks that was a great up-date, I didn't know what exactly was going to happen on Rådhuspladsen the 21st, I'll ask our webmaster to post it in our calender and make sure to spread the word in our pretty big Facebook group. Soon you can upload you own events here etc.....working on it hard!
I'm actually going to participate in the Wake Up Call in Central Park, doing a bit of lobbying for this little site "over there" before COP15 kicks in. Do you by any chance know any of the organisers in NYC? Loved to get in contact with them before I go. Hi Christina,
In September, Avaaz is focusing on this year's final meetings of heads of government at the UN and G20 summits and is putting all its effort into the Global Climate Wake Up Call on September 21st (http://tcktcktck.org/stories/campaign-stories/its-time-wake-world) which is a part of the large tcktcktck campaign.

As for Copenhagen, we hope that you would both like to participate yourself and to inform your Copenhagen network about our two events. The following links can be used for signing up:
